Introduction to Design of Experiments: DOE

8 Hours

Overview

Use designed experiments to identify optimal process settings.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for those managers, engineers, scientist and other individuals responsible for developing or improving products and processes. No previous exposure to designed experiments is required

Course Objectives:

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

·Define a DOE

·Articulate the reason for performing a DOE

·Identify the key steps in performing an experiment

·Identify input and output variables

·Identify the need to run confirmation experiments

·Recognize regression & response surface analysis uses

·Interpret simple plots of main and interaction effects

·Recognize and interpret an ANOVA table

·Identify steps for performing hypothesis testing

·Recognize randomization, repetition and replication

·Recognize main effects and interaction effects

·Distinguish full factorial designs from fractional factorial & Taguchi designs
