Overview

Apply algebraic and trigonometric math principles to manufacturing problems.

Who Should Attend:

Individuals, who wish to enhance their math skills to include scientific & engineering notation, powers and roots, basic algebra, use of graphs, and basic trigonometry. Skills learned through Intermediate Math and prerequisites for this course.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

·Interpret and use scientific notation

·Solve ratio and proportion problems

·Identify and use unknowns and equations

·Use trigonometric functions to set up and solve problems

·Compute compound angles

·Describe the use of Cartesian coordinates in programming machines and plotting functions

·Graph linear equations

·Compute gear and machining parameters
