Overview

Eliminate on-going process failures by using this disciplined approach to problem solving.

Who Should Attend:

Cross-functional teams, natural work groups, problem-solving groups, or committees who wish to improve their ability to solve problems.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

·Identify and prioritize problem-solving opportunities.

·Determine whether a problem needs the four-phase, ten-step process

·Determine whether an emergency response is necessary

·Select and establish an effective team

·Write a problem-solving statement and provide evidence to support the statement.

·Describe and document a temporary containment action plan

·Apply the problem solving process, tools and worksheets to identify probable causes of a problem.

·Identify and flowchart the process and identify the escape point of a problem

·Determine and verify the root cause of a problem.

·Identify and implement actions that result in permanent elimination of a problem

·Select prevention methods and standardize processes to prevent reoccurrence.

·State and apply the value of recognizing teams and individuals for their contributions to the problem solving effort
