Coaching for Improved Performance

Overview

Increase employee performance through effective coaching. This training introduces a five-step coaching model that includes developing rapport, making objective observations, assessing, providing effective feedback, and identifying other support essential to employee success.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop can be designed for participants in front-line supervisor and team leader positions as well as those in middle and upper management positions.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

·Identify four performance communication tools and their effect on behavior

·Give both positive and negative feedback effectively

·Gather objective data and distinguish between observable data and interpretation

·Communicate observations in an objective, respectful way

·Assess what to coach

·Conduct an effective coaching session

·Identify other things leaders can put into place to support increased performance

·Deal tactfully, yet decisively, with poor performance
