Overview

Learn the essential skills for effective team participation, by improving interpersonal skills as well as gaining tools for making team meetings more effective.

Who Should Attend:

Training is targeted toward work groups, cross-functional teams, committees, or any group of people that need to increase their effectiveness.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

·Identify their own personality type (using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), its positive attributes and areas for development as related to the work setting

·Recognize the strengths of other preferences and their potential contributions to achieving group or organizational goals

·Listen effectively by concentrating on the speaker, using paraphrasing to check for understanding, and reflecting the feeling of the message

·Demonstrate giving and receiving positive feedback and critical feedback using the guidelines for effective feedback

·Identify behaviors and actions that escalate and reduce conflict

·Apply conflict-reducing behaviors and actions to various situations

·Apply the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle to meeting management
